How fair-price works
The data
Every verdict is computed from comparable listings of the same model and year on Lowkar — using asking prices adjusted for mileage, age, and condition. No external database; just real listings currently on the platform.
The verdicts
Great Price and Good Price sit below or at the comparable listing estimate. Fair Price is within the normal range. Above Market and Overpriced are above it — we show them anyway, because hiding them would be editing reality.
When we say nothing
If fewer than 3 comparable listings exist for a model, we show 'Price data limited' instead of a verdict. An honest 'we don't know yet' beats a confident guess.
What sellers can't do
Verdicts cannot be bought, boosted or removed. Promoted listings keep their badge — a boosted Overpriced car is still labelled Overpriced.
